Hi Sue. Sorry, I can't help with the death lookup, but I am curious to know if we are connected. Here's my line as far back as I have it so far:
Henry Chapell Montgomery Co Md b abt 1716 in Md and d after 1790 in Md. M (E)uphane ? in Md. (b abt 1711) and of Scottish descent. Children: Thomas, John, George, Rebecca, and Henry.
Thomas Chapple b 1755 in Rock Creek, Md d abt Ap 1833 in Virginia (Loudoun or Clark Co). M Eleanor Harvey abt 1761 in St. James Parish, Old Herring Creek Parish, Md. Children: Siggarina, John, George, James.
James Moore Chappell b abt 1799 in Loudoun Co, Va d after 1880 in Clark Co, Va. M. Elizabeth Thompson 15 Jan 1824 in Loudoun Co, Va. Child: Mary Ann Chappell (m Kemp Bayliss Furr). Elizabeth d 5 May 1827. M Susan Virginia Slack 9 Aug 1832 (b abt 1811/1812 in Loudoun Co, Va). Children: Joanna, Ellen, Amanda, John, James, George, Abner, and Susan.
James William Chappelle b 10 May 1844 in Loudoun Co, Va d 10 Jan 1914 in Paris, Fauquier Co, Va. M Jane Elizabeth Slack 14 Ap 1870 in Paris, Va. She was b in 1846 in Loudoun Co. and d after 1924 in Paris, Va. Children: Abner, John, James, Lillian and George (my direct ancestor).
