Does anyone know where Savage Town was? I've run across the first mention of this place in a 1782 Will with a 1787 Codicil where the testtor writes "land I purchased in Savage Town." This is the very first reference I've found & I've no idea where it is located.
The testator lived in Warwick Co., VA & had holdings in York County, too.
I've researched these areas for many years and have never come across Savage Town. Help.
