I would be interested in a copy of this Will, and communicating with Barbara Brummett.
First, I am confused as to why the word Whiteland appears immediately after his name, Thomas Owen? It appears that the man's name is Thomas Owen Whiteland.
Secondly, what is the date of death? It appears in the post as 176___.
My specific interest is in the daughter Elinor.
Ellinor Unknown married +/- 1751 a Thomas Shannon, born +/- 1735. This couple produced six (6) children of record:
1. Sarah Margaret Shannon, born +/- 1752, married March 20, 1770 to Lewis Salmon(s) in Pittsylvania, VA.
2. Hannah Shannon, married to Thomas Owen(s) in late 1771 or early 1772, perhaps in Pittsylvania, VA or in Georgia.
3. Mary, married Thomas Paxton
4. Thomas, Jr.
5. John, born +/- 1760, married Sarah Perkins in Pendleton, SC.
6. Owen, born +/- 1762, married October 22, 1792 to Margaret Montgomery in Wilkes County, Georgia.
The birth order may not be correct.
There are two mysteries with regard to this Thomas Shannon SR. family. The first is "What was Ellinor's maiden name?"
The second mystery is "For whom was the son Owen Shannon named?"
The above referenced Will contains both the names Elinor Owen ??, and Owen Owen(s), and the name Thomas Owen.
I would appreciate hearing from someone who knows this family.
