My only Freeman nephew agreed to do the DNA test very recently. His results were a complete surprise to our family. In our genealogy pursuit, no one had any indication that we would find a connection with native Americans but his results revealed:

The Haplogroup Q3 native American

Our Earliest documented ancestor: James Freeman

James Freeman b: Before 1750 in Bedford Co., VA m: Sarah Unknown
John Freeman b: Abt. 1772 in Bedford Co., Virginia m: Susan An Davis
Basil Davis Freeman b: 04 Dec 1804 in Roane Co., TN m: Susan Elizabeth Fortson
James Henry Freeman b: 17 Mar 1835 in Roane Co., TN m: Martha Malinda Gallaher
James Davis Freeman Sr. b: 16 Jan 1879 in Callisburg, Cooke Co., TX m: Parthena Prichard
My brother – deceased but information Private
My nephew – Private

I thought this would be of interest to anyone with connections to these family lines.
