Thomas Carter was the father of David Carter.David supposedly married Sarah Walker in 1809 in Rockingham Co.,N.C. David was my gggreatgrandfather.
David's immediate family was supposed to have lived in Rockingham Co.,N.C. but there were other Thomas's there at the time. Which one was David's father? And which Thomas was the orphan from Maryland?
