The subject individual was born in Harper's Ferry, Virginia circa 1823. He was a vetern of the U.S. - Mexican War. He was twice elected Sheriff of Bexar County (San Antonio), Texas. He died in 1885 from an infection the result of having his arm amputated after being shot by a horse thief. We are trying to identify his parents.
