Early Western Virginia "Sproul" Families

Sproul, Sprowl, Sproule, Sprouls, Sproull --- At least ten different "Sproul" families, with more than twenty name-spelling variations, settled in Western Virginia in the 1700's. A new on-line genealogy at www.sproulfamily.net distinguishes those ten families, references known information sources, and provides over fifty back-up source documents. Many of these documents have not previously been publicly available. Special emphasis is given to the Sproul family which still resided in Augusta County, Virginia today although their many branches spread across the country in the 1800's. This is a free source for all interested parties. Comments and new information welcome.
