“…Robert Abercrombie (?-1784)…lived in Baltimore County MD from at least 1756 when he married Ann Hatton there. Robert married a second time, by 1772, to Salathiel, widow of Henry Eaglestone and daughter of Jarvis Biddison. Robert Abercrombie’s will, dated 22 Feb 1784, proved in Baltimore Co., MD on 22 May 1784, named Salathiel [as beneficiary of] tract John’s Habitation (a tract of 200 acres he purchased in 1766 in Middle River neck, Baltimore Co., MD) and children: John, Mary, ROBERT, Elizabeth and Charles. Will of Salathiel dated 20 May, 1802, proved 22 Jan 1803, named daughter Elizabeth Manus and her son Edward Manus, grandson James Abercrombie, dau. Mary Fauler, son John, and Ortho French with Sarah French as one of the witnesses. The daughter Eliz. married by license Joseph Manus on 21 Oct 1791. Son ROBERT was in FAIRFAX Co., VA by 8 Feb 1791 when he conveyed his portion of John’s Habitation to Chainey Hatton and John Hatton, son of Chainey. Records are at the Maryland State Archives."
