Philip Shartzer of Virginia

Have been tracking a Philip Shartzer who fought in the Civil War for Virginia and was killed Aug. 9, 1862. Believe him to be the same Philip Shartzer who married Maria Keller in Hancock County, Ohio in 1851. Does anyone have any information?
