It was not William Davis, son of Jacob whose grandchildren included Spencer, his were Rebecca and William, it was his daughter Mary Davis , who had married a cousin , don't know his name. Matthew had first married a Mary Davis in Lunenburg, possibly the daughter of Thomas Davis, and a cousin also. They married in 1790. anyway Mary's cildren were Spencer, John, and Jenny.
