Matthew Davis, nephew Stephen Davis

I have worked on my Davis line for years , and before that many other family members did. I finally got a break and found that the father of my Jacob Davis who married Mary Ann "Polly" Neal in Lunenburg county in 1789, was a Jacob Davis who died in Nottoway Co., Virginia , in 1794. The key were two wills, the first being Jacob's in 1794 when he names his ten children and and some grandchildren, including his daughter Nancy Davis Hightower, who married William Hightower. I just learned they lived for a while in Mecklenburg Co. My family only knew of one brother to our Jacob who married a Neal, and died in Halifax Co., Virginia. This brother was Stephen Davis, and he died in 1816, and is buried in Halifax Co., where the Davis Plantation was near Elmo. He willed everything to my Champion Thomas Neal Davis, son of Jacob, his brother, except a horse to Jacob Davis, his nephew, and a horse to Stephen Hightower, his nephew. Jacob, who died in 1794, had a son Matthew, who I just figured out moved to Mecklenburg, and for those researching the Stephen Davis line, son of John, I believe John was the oldest because he was the only one left land, land that he lived on in Lunenburg Co. I have only seen the posted names from John's will on the Lunenburg site, and would love to have a copy. The son Spencer, in Jacob Davis's will, he names a Spencer as the son of William, who is already deceased, and may have been taken in by John. Anyway, I have been putting all this together, because I want to send it to my great Uncle Barney, who started all this 40 years ago. I would appreciate any information on John, Matthew, and Stephen. Jacob Davis was an orphan in Nottoway Parish in 1753, taken in by Abraham Cocke, and he had a brother Thomas.
