this info and other posts was recently posted on the harris forum but would also like to post on the mecklenburg co, va forum.
my research shows, per these southside va records, that samuel harris and my william harris, sr/ frances goode were the sons of william harris/ judith hudson, per william harris/ judith hudson's 1778 mecklenburg co, va will but i am trying to locate other descendants of william harris/ judith hudson to also participate in the harris dna project.
i would definitely appreciate any help and info.
per info recently posted and per lunenburg co, va deed in 1750, samuel harris, executor of the estate of adlar david, sold land to robert wade, sr on difficult creek which was adjacent william irby.
lunenburg co, va info shows that in 1749: william irby; peter hudson; edward parker; and luke smith appraised the estate of adlar david.
edward parker is indicated to have been the son-in-law of peter hudson, sr and edward parker's wife, sarah parker, sister of my judith hudson harris.
my william harris, sr/ frances goode had an agreement in 1746 in lunenburg co, va re the plantation "finneywood" with william marable and robert wooding, who married mary marable, daughter of william marable, witnessed a number of lunenburg co, va deeds re my william harris, sr/ france goode. matthew marable was the son of william marable.
info re the mcginnis family of halifax co, va shows that robert wooding; edward parker; and william irby were also involved with the estate of william mcginnis.

per the info, it was john camp's family, who also married into the family of christopher hudson of lunenburg/ mecklenburg co, va.
again, my harris family is shown, per these southside va records, to have been involved there in this lunenburg/ halifax/ mecklenburg cos, va area with both peter hudson, sr's family and also with christopher hudson's family.
again, i am interested in hearing from others re my interest in our harris family and hudson families.
