thank you so much for posting these mecklenburg co, va harris marriages on line which i did not see until today as genforum did not notify me and i have been busy.

yes, i do note that this john harris married martha crutchfield.

do you have any idea of who this john harris was or have you corresponded with anyone interested in him or other of the harris family there in lunenburg/ mecklenburg co, va??

again, i am trying to prove/ confirm that my william harris, who married my frances goode, daughter of my mackerness goode, sr, ca 1745 lunenburg co, va or this area was the son, william harris, of my william harris/ judith hudson also of luneburg/ mecklenburg cos, va, which is what this info certainly seems to indicate.

these marriage dates here would seem to be for later generations of the same families.

for example, my william harris/ judith hudson, per luneburg co, va deed in 1757 sold land to joel elam and it would certainly seem this peter elam was related to joel elam.

per info i cannot confirm, joel elam is said to have been the son of john elam and martha goode elam, sister of my mackerness goode, sr; william goode, etc, children of my/ our samuel goode, sr/ martha jones, who died 1734 henrico co, va.

both my peter hudson, sr's family, as well as christopher hudson, son of john and elizabeth harris hudson, said to have been the sister of my william harris/ judith hudson, were all also involved there in lunenburg/ mecklenburg cos, va.

perhaps, someone else also interested in these families may post or reply also. i hope so.

thanks, again, so much for the info you have posted.
