Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

Dr. Fennell was an old country doctor in Mecklenburg. He had a daughter, Emma, who married my relative - Dr. Peter Lett. Dr. Lett studied under Dr. Fennell and basically took over his practice. From what I have been told, Dr. Lett was one of the only doctors in Mecklenburg during the Civil War, after Dr. Fennell passed away.
