Seeking any information on the Franklin's in Meckenburg County,VA., during the 1700's. I found an Owen Franklin in the VA militia 1778 and state census in 1782. I believe he is my gggg grandfather. Moved to Surry/Stokes County, NC., mid 1780's. He did not file for a pension for his services during the Revolutionary War. Owen died in 1805, Surry Co., NC.
