I do not know where the COlley home place is. My recent ancestors lived around North View. Grandparents lived in the Shiloh Methodist Parsonage until late '50's. My father was born there in 1910. The next previous generation lived on the other side of the Methodist church on the same side of 47. They waer Samuel Benjamin and Molly Smithson Johnson. They initially lived across 47 in a smaller house that still stands. I understand that their 6 children were all born in that house. His father was Samuel Grigg Johnson, husband of Elizabeth Colley. Samuel G. died in 1864. I am not sure how we connect to the Johnson family of Union Level. I have visited Frances Johnson Edwards. Her father was Dr. James White Johnson, son of James Johnson, son of Thomas Johnson (so she says). If you know that connection, I would really appreciate knowing.
