I also am a GGG-Gchild of Thrower and Amy Gill Freeman. I have photos of their farm and headstones and a photos of James T Freeman's sister (my GG-Gmother) Lucy Caroline Freeman Gray. (Lucy's brother-in-law, William Gray, signed as witness to James and Marticia T. Jones marriage, 21 Jan 1866 at Williamson Co., TN.)

Have you read the Freeman Family History by Thomas J. Reed? It seems to validate Hamblin Freeman as Thrower's father and the "1775 Thrower" as his uncle.

I have a copy of the order for the grave marker of James T Freeman, can you tell me what cemetery he is in?

Feel free to contact me if you would like to have the photos sent to you, 615-828-3725.
