I am trying to verify the military service during the Revolutionary War of William Wright. He was born ca 1748 possibly in Lunenburg County, Virginia. Family tradition records that he served in Mecklenburg County, VA during the war, and lived in neighboring Granville County, NC until the 1780's when he moved to Wilkes County, GA. Some family researchers believe he had a brother Nathan Wright who died in 1836 in Lincoln County, GA. Nathan's service during the war is well documented. Nathan's pension application states that he was born in Lunenburg County, VA.

William Wright died in 1827 in Lincoln County, GA. I have a copy of his will, and also a copy of his son Richard's family Bible record that records William's wife's name as Drucilla. Will be happy to share info with anyone researching this line.
