The mouth of Falling River is at the point where the present day counties of Charlotte, Campbell and Halifax touch each other, about one mile southeast of Brookneal, VA. Lunenburg county was formed in 1746, and all of this area was part of Lunenburg until the other counties were formed at later dates.
