Hi, Mike. My apologies for taking so long to reply---I was on vacation.
No, I did mean Crowder...unless you have the other surnames connected to your Crale or Cralle or Crawley lines. On the Bowles list we've found about 96 documented spellings for the word that sounds like "bowls." So I keep an open mind about ancestral literacy.
