Eddie, I realize your note was written a long while ago. Have you made any progress? I am just beginning to look for my Vaughn Virginia ancestors. In the Original VA Census (1790 reconstruction) I found a James Vaughn in Orange County, with five people in his household. I do not know if this helps you, of if it relates to my search. I am looking for parentage of two brothers: JOHN JOSEPH VAUGHN b. abt. 1816 and JAMES (M.) b. abt. 1817. By about 1830 J.J.V. is in Escambia County, Florida and I have his descendants to the present generation (including myself.)
