I'm sorry, I don't have any descendents listed for them. I found her marriage info in a book, "Marriages of Lunenburg County, Virginia 1746-1853." Compiled by Emma R. Matheny and Helen K. Yates. Originally published 1967. (Couldn't find a publisher's name, though!) The book shows that Martha Hood married Benjamin Simmons 23 Dec 1800, and the marriage was performed by William Ellis.

I haven't been able to find out if Martha was part of my line or not, but I keep the info handy just in case. I am descended from William Hood, Jr. and wife Martha unknown. (Of course, if there was a William Jr. then there was also a William, Sr!) William Hood, Jr. wrote his will in 1821 and it was probated in 1823. He does mention a daughter named Martha, but her name was still Hood in 1821, so I don't think it's the same Martha as the one who married Benjamin. Maybe this Martha was William's sister? I have not yet been able to find William Sr. so I don't have a clue about children other than the Jr.

Hope this helps!
