Hello,

I came across your posting while researching my Johnson line. I noticed some common names and thought I might put in my two cents and hopefully you can shed some light on the Johnsons for me. I have been researching Joseph Johnson of Goochland Co.'s family. He moved to Lunenburg between 1733 and 1747 and lived on land next to his brother Isaac Johnson. Joseph had many children....Mical, Isaac, Sarah (who married Peter Womack), Mary, David, Ann, Joseph Jr., Susannah, Elizabeth, Sisley, & Charity. I also have GEE's in my family line and one of them is Claiborne Gee. Apparently there is a Claiborne Family in the Lunenburg area who has land dealings with Gees. The Gees also have dealings with the Johnsons. Given that families used to stick together I believe that our Johnson families are somehow related but, I have just begun researching the Johnson branch of my tree and was wondering if you had a website or could fill me in on Claiborne Johnson's parents and siblings.
Let me know if you want any information on the Joseph Johnson line.

Thanks,

Candace Arnold
