This area of the Pigg River is today located in Franklin County, Virginia. I cannot find crooked creek but there are many creeks unnamed on my atlas for this area. The Birds line that you speak of belonged to my ancestors. Either Thomas, Francis or Joseph who all owned land along the Pigg River in the 1760-73 time frame. This area is about a fifteen mile long stretch running east to west just south of Rocky Mount, Virginia.
