Rogers assoc. with Caldwell Settlement 1740's

I am looking for information on my ancesters William and John Rogers associated with the founding Caldwell's of Caldwell Settlement on Cub Creek.
A dau. of John Caldwell m. a John Rogers,
I believe William was the son of John who was the son of Giles Rogers.
William and John were surveyors in southern Va. who were also assoc. with John Pigg and William Lawson in the 1740's.
Would love to hear from anyone who has info on these men and the Caldwell Settlement.
