How do you know that George's second wife was Mary xx?

Go to Rootsweb and enter Elizabeth Burrell with George Dent as spouse or go to the Dent genforum and enter #685. A researcher named Richard Dent wrote to me showing me that there were 2 George Dents (father and son) from MD. The first one married Elizabeth Short (check out their dates) and the son, George, married Elizabeth Burrell. The younger George was born either 4 May 1727 St. Mary's MD or approx. 1717 and died 8 Jun 1757 in Fairfax. John Dent being their only child 1755. She remarried to Jeremiah Hampton.
1764, Jan 17 "Minute Book 1763-65, pg 67", Fairfax Co., VA ordered that Jeremiah Hampton & Elizabeth his wife Admx of Geo. Dent --Decd be summoned to appear at the next Court to give to T. Rhodes &Grafton Krk, Counter Secys, to deliver them the estate. So George died before his wife, Elizabeth.

Jeremiah Hampton b.c. 1718 and Elizabeth (I think it's Elizabeth Burrell Dent) married bef 1 Dec 1762 Fairfax or Loudoun, VA and had 3 known children: 1. Elizabeth Hampton b. 25 Mar 1762 Loudoun, VA d. 11 Sep 1857 Wayne Co., KY and married William Tarlton Taylor on 4 Aug 1778 in Loudoun Co., VA (10 children); 2. Joseph Hampton b.c. 1764 Loudoun, VA d.15 Oct 1802 Fauquier Co., VA and married Mary Hathaway b.c.1764 or 1755 Fauquier Co., VA (dau of Capt John Hathaway and Sarah lawson Timberlake) on 9 Apr 1786 (7kids) 3. Jeremiah Hampton b. 2 Sep 1766 Loudoun- d. Clinton, OH and married Miney XX

We can't seem to find Jeremiah Hampton's parents anywhere.

Burtis Ringo was a neighbor of the Hamptons and knew William Tarlton Taylor.
