Records in Loudoun County

  of 1800

I just went to the county records today and I'm sorry to say that they do not have many records that will assist us with genealogy. Their birth records were from 1853 to 1879 and their death records were from 1853 to 1866. Their marriage records were a little bit better. They cover from 1850 to 1968. I'm sure they have real recent birth and death records in the active files but their old stuff was limited to these dates. I was looking for info around 1898 to 1900 so it was a wasted day for me. It was very disappointing as I had finally narrowed my
search down to Loudoun and thought I would finally find the info I have been looking for for twenty years. They did say that Richmond had some records for them so I guess that will be my next step although I can't imagine they would have something in Richmond they don't have in Loudoun. We'll see. I had taken some of your e-mails with me to look them up for you but the dates you all were looking for were the ones they don't have also. Sorry I couldn't have been of help to any of you.
