Re: African-American Jacksons & Minors

In Reply to: African-American Jacksons & Minors by Fern Jackson Candelario of 1800

I am an african american descendant of William Luckett who was born in Virginia about 1849. I believe his father was William Luckett and his mother was a woman of color because the 1870 Virginia Census list him as black. His wife name was Catherine (Kate). In 1870 they had a son named Harry.

I am trying to make the connection to William Luckett as his father and find out who was his mother.

Any help would be appreciated.
