Do you think that James and Richard are brothers?

Richard Larue is my g4grandfather. I have record of him born in Loudon County in 1750. He married Hannah Lewis in 1789, changed the spelling of his name to Larrowe and moved to Galax in Grayson Co VA around 1800.

I have read a couple of sources speculate that Richard is the son of William LaRue who
was a grandson of Abraham the immigrant. However, the William LaRue I have found would be roughly the same age as Richard.

A series of letters from the 1970s speculates
that Richard's parents were killed by indians
but I have not been able to confirm this.

Family tradition says we descend from Huguenots.
