Thanks again Pat for your information. I will post here the Bond that is between Adam Cooper and his eldest son William Cooper. It is lengthly so I may break it into several parts. It was taken from a LDS Film # 0829880 1773 - 1787. Page 344 and 345.

Know all men by these presents that I William Cooper of Berkeley County in the Colony of Virginia am held and firmly bound unto Elizabeth Cooper of the same place in the full sum of five thousand pounds current money of Virginia to the which payment is well, all and truly to be made and done to the said Elizabeth Cooper her heir Exrs. Admns. an Assigns I bind myself my heirs, Executors and Administers for the whole said in the whole family by these presents Sealed with my seal and dated this Eighth day of November One thousand Seven Hundred Seventy Six 1776.

Whereas Adam Cooper late of the said County died in his death bed and in his last sickness made his last will and Testament that his whole Estate Real and Personal should be equally Divided between his children which said will the above bound on William Cooper Eldest and Heir at Law do hereby agree to and will conform the same in an Equal proportion according to the true intent of my Father's will and that I will make a true and equal Division of the Real and Personal Estate with my Brothers and Sisters according to the same true Intent and meaning of my said Father's will whether the same be provided or not And whereas my father Adam Cooper Did not leave nor appoint any Executor or Execut____ to mannage his Estate & c. And whereas the property whereof belongs to my mother Elizabeth my Mother and whereas my Mother being an Ealining woman and that I am willing that all things may be done in Interest to my mother Elizabeth and her children and to assist in the Burden of the said Administration or Executorship or as the law may then unto Require I am willing to join with has these in and that I do hereby bind myself my Heirs Executors & c. to the said Elizabeth Cooper her Heirs & c. in the sum above mentioned that I will allow to my Brothers & Sisters and Equal Divident of my Fathers Page 345. Fathers Estate both Real & Personal according to the true Intent and meaning of my father's will the Intent there of I know to be that all my Brothers & Sisters should be equal shares in the aforesid Estate of my father Adam Cooper and I the above bounder William Cooper for my heirs Executors and Administrators do hereby Covenant Promise Grant and agree to and with the said Elizabeth Cooper her her Heirs Exrs.
