In Reply to: Benjamin & Hannah Davis by Joseph R. Williams of 1800

Abraham Dehaven and family resided in Loudoun Co. for an unknown period of time. Abraham d. 1771 leaving a Will,
A:298, 1770/1771. He named the following members of his family: Rebecca, wife; sons Jesse, Jacob, Abraham, Isaac, and daughters: Rebecca, Elizabeth, Hannah, and Ann.
Witnesses were George McKinney, Elias Ellis and William Dehaven. Abel, s/o Benjamin & hannah named his childen Mary, RebeccaCatherine, John, Isaac, P, Jacob, Philip & Nancy.

Hannah Dehaven is alleged to have m. Benjamin Davis. Proof is All names other than Jesse, Jacob, Isaac and Abraham werer used in naming the children of Benjamin & Hannah. Benjamin appeaars to be the son of Isaac Davis & Elizabeth Bartholomew of Montgomery Co., PA. Isaac being a descendant of Llewellyn "The Hammer" David of Chester Co., PA. There is indication Hannah was b.1737 and that she d. in 1799 or 1802 n Loudoun Co. Hannah subscribed to the Quaker faith but Abel was a Baptist. Confusion exists which I will attempt to allay.
Benjamin & Hannah were m in PA or MD and arrived in Loudoun Co. in 1761.
