John Peacock and Orpha Craig

While researching my Loudoun Co. Milburn family, I ran across the following interesting item:

In Hutchison's "Apprentices, Poor Children and Bastards, Loudoun County, Virginia, 1757-1850" p. 73:

9 Dec 1799 Anne Crage, 7 yrs old 28 May 1799, to Ezekial Potts
Loose papers: Jonathan Milbourn gr-father, John Peacock step-father

Jonathan Milbourn is my ancestor and I thought I knew who most of his children were, but apparently I missed a daughter.

Wertz's "Marriages of Loudoun County, Virginia, 1757-1853" shows the marriage of John Peacocks to Rapha Craig 13 Aug 1796.

Ancestry's "Virginia Marriages to 1800" database includes a marriage of Orpha Craig to John Peacocks 13 Aug 1796.

From this, I am deducing that an Orpha Milbourn, daughter of Jonathan, married a Mr. Craig by May 1792 and had a daughter Anne; Mr. Craig died; Orpha remarried to John Peacock.

Does this entry in the Hutchison book mean that Orpha died and Anne was an orphan or might it mean that Orpha never married a Mr. Craig, but had a child with him who used his last name? I just don't know enough about the legalities back then.

Any ideas of what happened to John and Orpha Peacock? ...or the daughter Anne?
