There is no Caleb Cox on the Loudoun Co Personal Property Tax Lists, but there is a Caleb Fox. I just had the archivist in Leesburg check that Order Book entry and it clearly says Caleb Cox, so maybe the clerk just wrote it wrong. Be aware that the Guardian was not the physical caretaker of the minor, and he was often not related to the family. His job was to maintain the inheritance before releasing it to the minor when they reached 21 years of age. Since Mary was allowed to choose a Guardian she would have been between 14 and 21 years old. The Order Book entry states that she was the orphan of James Akers, which means the inheritance was from her father James Akers.
