According to the book "250 years of Towns and Villages," Catalpa Grove is said to have been built by Moses Polk.

No Moses Polk appears on the 1758-1781 Loudoun Co. Tithables Index by the Sparacios. The closest name that does appear is Moses Poque in 1770.

No Moses Polk appears on the 1782-1810 Loudoun Co. Personal Property Tax Lists. The name also does not appear in the 1757-1817 Loudoun Co. Deed Books.

If you have questions, please email me directly.
