I am researching the family of Benjamin & Hannah Davis of Loudoun Co., VA. There is indication that Ann, d/o Benjamin, b. ca. 1746, was the daughter of his first wife as recorded in one of the WorldConnect projects. Now I find a Hannah Davis (heir & sister of Ellis Ellis who d. 1797 in Loudoun Co.) who was the widow of Abraham DAvis. The only Abraham Davis shown in the Index to Loudoun Wills was Abraham, son & heir of Thomas Davis who d. 1817 in his Will, M:209. The only other heir of Abraham was Ellis Davis, a nephew. This opens the probability that Hannah Davis was m. to Abraham prior to her m. to Benjamin Davis. The Index covers the period 1757 to 1850 beginning with the formation of Loudoun Co. If any person has a Wills Index to Fairfax Co., VA perhaps it may show the death of Abraham Davis prior to the m. of Hannah to Benjaimn in 1851.
