Hey Pat,
Sorry, the deed is in Loudoun. I did make a mistake; it is not Turkey Run, but Turkey BRANCH.

You have actually helped me with this deed. It is a deed for a lease of land between Bryan Fairfax and Jeremiah McCarty in 1762. Here is the part of the deed that I am looking at.
"....Containing one hundred and twenty six Acres one Road twenty four poles part of Tract land which the said Fairfax hath lying on the North side of Difficut run Benginning a small Red Oak near Turkey Branch running thence South forty seven Degrees West one hundred twenty four poles To a small Black Oak....."

I have found Difficult Run, but I haven't found a Turkey Branch. There is a Turkey Run in Fairfax Co. I don't know if Run and Branch are the same thing or not. It don't think it is talking about Turkey Run. I think that would be too far away from Difficult Run and I think in the wrong direction.
Teresia
