First, I assume you mean that John Duncan died in Leesburg in 1805, not 1905.

There is no will or other estate account for any John Duncan in the Loudoun Co Will Books for that period.

Tax records do not indicate any death either. From my CD "Index to the 1782-1850 Loudoun Co Virginia Personal Property Tax Lists":
[Note: the term Battalion was used for both militia and tax purposes and simply denotes a district. Only males 16 years or older would appear on the lists.]
