Phoebe was more likely a sister of Elijah (Abijah) Patterson, and daughter of James Patterson. James disappeared from Loudoun about 1812/13. Don't know if he died or moved. James was the son of Robert Patterson, d. 1782 Berks Co., PA. James and his family migrated from PA to Maryland (Washington Co.) before the Rev. War, then into Loudoun Co., VA after the war.
