Cheryl, do you have a book that lists persons buried in at New Jerusalem Lutheran Church? Is there more than one cemetary? I have ancestors who attended that church in the 1790's. Georg and Ruth Ann MOHN. Their first 2 children were christened there on Sept 18, 1793. They were Johannas (b. March 5, 1791) and Jacob (b. April 22, 1793). There is also record of a possible brother, Abraham attending during this period (but he moved on to W.VA.) and possibly the burial of the father Vernor/Wernor MOHN. Other siblings of Georg were Eve and Jacob. There was also a sister or cousin Sarah MOHN who married John Myers. They lived in Frederick Co., MD., but I have records of my MOHN's there also. Any info would be greatly appreciated. I am trying to firm up my Vernor -> Georg connection. I have a lot of circumstantial but no hard evidence like a marriage license.

I plan to be in the area at the end of October 2004. Do you know who to contact at the church to study any old records from the 1790's?

Thanks, Gregg
