I connect to the Saunders/Sanders family through Amanda Clarissa Beales who married Phillip Saunders in Loudoun County on June 18, 1831. Most of the information I have on the Saunders family and their connection to the Beales family I received from my cousin Betty Ruby who has done lots of research on both families. If you'd like to see what I have - check out my tree on rootsweb http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?db=ejohn20736
I see lots of Milbourns in your family - I don't know the Beales connection to the Milbourns (if any) but have been trying to figure it out - Hannah Bales (Beales) was the second wife of David Bales (Beales). In Hannah Beales will date April 1842 she seems to leave what little she had to Emily Iden Milbourn including 12 acres of land. From what I understand the land and house that David Beales owned abutted the property owned by some of the Saunders family. The deed of David Bales/Bailes (Beales) shows that he purchased the land from Bleakstone & Israel Janney in 1795. I've also been trying to find out if the stone house on this land still exists. It was still standing in 1973.
