Barry,
Thanks for your help regarding Loudoun County. I will need to take some time to explore in Loundoun or at the National Archives. I know that my great-great grandparents (James W. Mankins and Sarah Ann Havener) were born in Loudoun County in the period of 1820 to 1824 and later moved with their family to what it now Preston County WV but I have been unable to identify their parents. Help from anyone out there would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. ---Bill Mankins.
