Hi Jeanne. The Early Settlers of Lee Co., Va. and Adjacent Counties, 1977; Vol I by Anne Wynn Laningham, Vol.II by Hattie Muncy Bales (Both deceased), are the "Bible" of Lee Co., Va. genealogy. The authors spent a combined 40 years collecting the information. They used all available Lee Co., Va. records: census, marriage, cemetery, bible, wills and deeds. They also search fr and wide for courthouse records on people who migrated to Lee Co., Va. The books were reprinted late last year. For $157.00 the two volume set is available from: The Lee Co. Hist. & Gen. Society ( S & H included), P. O. Box 231, Jonesville, Va 24263. Ed Cress, Oak Ridge, Tn., Corresponding Secretary, Lee Co. Hist. and Gen. Society
