Hi,
My current state of research on my gr grandmothers line Martha O Harris, is pretty much to Charles Thomas Harris b. 25 Jul 1797 Charlotte Co VA, they moved to Botetourt Co from there and then onto Lee Co., where Charles died 1 Apr 1872 Jonesville Lee Co VA.
He had a son Elijah Ramsey Harris b. 29 Aug 1828 d. 19 May 1891 North Salem Montgonmery Co IN. He married a Catherine (Kate) Mangus.
There could be a connection to your Harris line. Some say Charles T is the son of Joesph Harris I, b. 1765/70 of Charlotte Co VA, but I have no information on his children, I list 4 possibles, of course, Charles T Harris, Joseph Harris II, Dicey Harris and a Mary (Polly) Harris.
By the date you listed for your Elijah, he would have been a brother to our Charles Thomas Harris, so this is probably not the C T Harris you refer to...
