The line of Harris's I am related to:
Charles Thomas Harris Sr 1797 to 1872
Died: Jonesville Lee Co VA
wife: Mary Jane Ramsey 1802 to 1879
Died: Lee Co VA
Son of Charles T:
John Calvin Harris 1821 to 1906
Born Charlotte VA moved to Botetourt
then to Lee Co moved to Bowie Co TX
where he died, had 17 children.
Wife: 1st Mary Jane Johnston 1820 to 1861 died Lee Co
Wfie: 2nd Elizabeth A Edsall 1836 to 1912
Elizabeth was born in Lee Co VA.
Died Bowie Co TX.
This line of Harris's were said to be descendants of
Joseph Harris I and Joanna Almond, however, I cannot
prove this at this time, they were from Charlotte VA.
The deeds from the other counties have been extremely
helpful in connecting the family together, was hoping
the Lee Co Deeds would do the same.
John Calvin Harris is my great gr gr grandfather.
