Thank you for getting back to me. I just found out that Moses smith may have been born out of wedlock. My father remebers his mother saing that his father (moses Son) wasn't really a Smith that Moses was actually a Chadwell and was born out of wedlock. He took his mother name Smith. Wether this true or not my father doesn't know. What is confusing is that he moved to CLaiborne Co. Tn 1896 when is wife Sarah ( i think name is correct) died in childbirth. with his son Paris. His sister's name was Jane Smith. I hope that this is the same one. If it is please let me know.
he is listed tn 1920 census. He was born in Va it said.
