I'm looking for a connection to the Garner or Gardner family of Lee County in the late 1700s and early 1800s - with my GGG Grandmother - Sarah GARNER (GARDNER), born 1781. She married William KING in 1803.

One of their sons - David KING - married a granddaughter of Willoughby Randolph - named Susan FLETCHER. Susan was the daughter of John Goldsmith FLETCHER of Lee County.

First record found of Willoughby Randolph in Lee Co., Va., was Aug. 22, 1804 when he bought thirty acres of land lying on the North side of Wallens Ridge from Obed Gardner for $150.00.

How is this Obed Gardner connected to my Sarah? Could he be her father or brother?

Thank you. Nancy
