Enoch Townsend, my husbands gggrandfather appeared on the 1840 Census, Lee Co. Virginia. Born between 1770-1780, he married Nancy Ann Grimes, b. 5 May 1813. (On '40 Census he was 60-70 yrs and she was 30-40 years.) They had the following children: 1) Frances Townsend b. 27 Jan. 1830 in VA, m. John Waymire; 2) Henry b. abt. 1832 in VA; 3) Sarah Ann b. 19 Dec. 1834 in TN; 4) James Britton, b. 29 Jul 1838 in VA; 5) Evaline b. abt 1840 in VA. Another daughter born to them, as per '40 Census. Children Henry and James appear on the 1860 Indiana Census. So from 1840-1860 at least some of the family moved out of VA. I want to know when and where Enoch died? What were his parents names? When/ where were Enoch and Nancy married? Assuming Enoch died before Nancy, did Nancy remarry? What is the name of the other daughter? I know this is a lot to ask. If you can even answer one of these, Ill be grateful. Thank you.
