Thanks for the Dean(e) info. As I said, what I have is scarce for the Longs and I probably have more than what I'm posting here but will need to review my notebooks. I'm getting ready for a sojourn to my "home land" in Wisconsin and need to get ready for that.

The 1900 census for Lee County, VA shows Jennie's father as coming from Penn and mother from Washington. She lists 10 children born, 6 alive. Robert and Jennie had been married 9 years.

Her first husband's last name was Thomas, and they had 2 children, James (born before 1888) and Martha about 1889. (need to find my source for this info.

I'm researching Dean's for my Significant Other and his line comes down from Morgan Dean, son of Robert and Jennie, who married Bobbie Lee Walker. I have dates of birth and some lineal information in my FTM program for the Dean's. If you want that info, send me your email address and I'll send you the reports. However, if you are interested in Longs, I'm shy on info. You have much more than I. After I get through with this trip, I'll be able to spend more time on Longs and Deans.

I'm also showing that Kathleen Long had a daughter before she married Shackleford. Her name was Judy Timpton.

Bits and pieces is what I have.
