Thanks again for the follow up. I had some of this information. I know that the family went to Iowa and have corresponded with descendants from William's side. We even have photos, etc.
However, I think it's odd that we're only showing 2 children of Thomas Hardy and Mary Crowe. We cannot locate any information on Thomas Hardy and Mary Crowe. It is believed that they stayed in VA.
My line falls under Isaac Andrew Hardy b. 1821 Grayson County VA...moved to Lee county VA. 1860 census shows him living in KY, then 1870 Fremont Iowa. It appears that he stayed there til his death in 1896. Isaac had married twice to the Lovelace family. My great grandfather was Andrew jackson b1866 Fremont County, Iowa...Hardy-one of Isaac's children.
We have found quite a bit of information on William, but for some reason can't find much about Andrew.
