I am looking for more information on Samuel Moore of Scott County, VA who was born in 1814 and died in Martin County, KY. Since Scott County only became a county in 1814, I know I have to look at Lee, Wise and Russell Counties. By doing a search of 1820 & 1830 census looks like there were only three possible matches for a father who had children the age of my Samuel. They are Joel, Henry and Samuel. Lately, I've run into the family trees of Joe and Henry and they don't show any children by the name of Samuel. If I trust that I'm down to Samuel being the father of Samuel. So, I'm expanding my search to Lee, Russell and Wise: I'm interested in your knowledge of the Samuel Moore here in this thread and any children. Also, what is the relationship of this Samuel Moore to Samuel the surveyor who signed many of the deeds during this time?
